What is Happiness?
Happiness is one of many emotions. Being happy is an emotion I love to experience. I love to smile, breathe deeply and enjoy my life. More importantly, I love when others around me are experiencing the same things.I am most happy when:
- I read my son stories
- I share jokes with my husband
- I watch my students working
- I coach
- I do yoga
- I lift weights
Why is Happiness Important?
Emotions help to keep us in the moment. Happiness can help keep you in the moment during challenging times in your life. Happiness helps people enjoy their lives. I am happy I found many things that make me happy every single day. Just like this Mom watching her son!Happiness versus Sadness
Which one are you? The one who stole the toy or the ones who had the toy stolen? I wonder if for every interaction you have with someone, either positive or negative, you can come out smiling? I know this is not the case for myself. There have been moments in my life here frustration and anger have won over happiness. This I am not proud of. However, moving forward is always important. I know that after I experience sadness, I immediately want to do something that I know will make me happy.
Maybe happiness and sadness are connected.
